Why do you think that? We don't know what the government here knows about us, and if it's "nothing" I'd prefer to keep it that way.

Besides, these other Persona-users are not part of the government, are they? If they have powers like ours, and on top of our newly acquired skills as gembonded, then keeping our identities a secret is meaningless. We're not any more special than they are.

I met them. They claim to be from our past. Sounds like we weren't the first ones to get Personas, or fight Shadows. Just maybe the first ones to go inside Palaces.

[ Not the first ones, huh? Hmm. Akechi has always had the feeling the Shadow Operatives may know something about Personas, but they never caught on to the Thieves or himself, so... hmmmmm. ]

Interesting. Do they claim to only have access to Mementos, in that case? Or is it something else?

No, something else. Minato Arisato and his team went into a place called Tartarus, and Yu Narukami and his team went into a "TV World." The TV World sounds more like what we experienced, but not quite the same.

A TV world? How is that connected to the Metaverse?

I don't think it is, not strictly. But there were Shadows there, and apparently if people were in there their own Shadows manifested, similar to the Palace rulers.

We didn't talk about it too much, though. We were mostly giving each other the basic explanation.

But maybe you remember some murders happening in Inaba a few years ago? Apparently that was due to this TV world.

Of course I do. [ That's where the original Detective Prince got famous, after all. ]

Last I heard of the Inaba murders, the police still couldn't build a solid case for the alleged culprit, with little evidence other than his own confession. I could not prove it, myself, but I did have an inkling suspicion something similar to what we know could have been at play over there.

Right. Similar, but not exactly the same. And apparently there was a god in play that time, as well.

Based on what they said, I think things like this won't end with us. It'll keep happening, in slightly different ways every time. The only true tie between us are our Personas.
